A Fun and Flavorful Thanksgiving Menu Edit

Seasons greetings fam! Sazan here + currently sitting in my living room (kids are in bed) watching re-runs of Downtown Abbey. I may or may not be eating a bag of Lays Sour Cream & Onion chips. LOL! Whatever, I'm in my FEELS. Thanksgiving is just a few days away which happens to be my favorite holiday! As assignments and schedules are slowing down, I'm wrapping myself in the warmth of gratitude and the anticipation of a feast that promises to be nothing short of extraordinary.

This year we're celebrating at Steve's parents home. Since I'm not hosting, I still thought it would be fun to curate a Thanksgiving menu that's not just a meal; it's a celebration of flavors, textures, and the sheer joy of indulgence. Just for fun, I've handpicked each dish as if I am inviting you all into our home for a feast!

Enjoy an S+S inspired Thanksgiving Menu. Simply click on the links below to discover the recipes for each menu item.

Appetizers
Harvest Charcuterie Board
Start your feast as guests arrive by presenting a Charcuterie Board and trying to get it Harvest themed. Here's some inspiration.

Holiday Honeycrisp Salad (recipe here)
Elevate your palate with the refreshing Holiday Honeycrisp Salad. Crisp greens meet the sweetness of apples, dried fruit, cheese, and nuts, all harmoniously topped with a simple apple cider vinaigrette. (we swap out the goat cheese for feta!)

Garlic Dinner Rolls (recipe here)
Need I say more? Soft and fluffy dinner rolls, brushed with a delicious garlic herb butter, add a comforting touch to the table. TBH - They're not just bread; they're warm, pillowy clouds that transport you to a carb-lover's paradise.

Main Course
Pop’s Famous Turkey (a similar recipe here)
Picture this: the moistest meat, generously bathed in loads of butter and infused with the hands of flavorful fresh herbs, fried to perfection. It's not just a turkey; it's a masterpiece.

Sweet Potato Casserole (recipe here)
Indulge in velvety smooth sweet potatoes topped with the most amazing sweet, crunchy pecan and brown sugar streusel. One of my faves to offset the savory taste of the turkey!

Twice-Baked Creamy Ranch Potatoes (closest recipe I could find to mine)
I'm in charge of bringing these to the feast every year! Sour cream potatoes, coated in a creamy, delicious ranch dressing mix, oven-roasted to crispy perfection – these Twice-Baked Creamy Ranch Potatoes are the epitome of comfort food with a flavorful twist. I can't imagine Thanksgiving without them!!!

Beverage
Applejack Mulled Cider (recipe here)
A sip of autumnal perfection that invites everyone to gather around and savor the moment.

Dessert
Pumpkin Pecan Pie (recipe here)
This Pumpkin Pecan Pie looks so good! It's a decadent Thanksgiving dessert that's a feast for the eyes and the taste buds.

Apple Crumble Cheesecake (recipe here)
I'm a big cheesecake person so this apple Crumble Cheesecake is a must try in our bias opinion. Imagine a cinnamon and nutmeg cookie crust joining forces with a velvety cheesecake filling, crowned with cinnamon-sugar apples and a delectable crumble. Yum!

Sides
Corn Bread Stuffing (recipe here)
Corn Bread Stuffing sounds like a good idea. It is the sweet and savory version to the classic stuffing mix. Great I bet paired with a side of gravy!

Homemade Cranberry Sauce (recipe here)
Nothing like homemade cranberry sauce that's delicious and healthy! This one will complement the entire spread.

As we prepare to gather with loved ones let's not forget what this day is all about. Show up, gather and give thanks by being present around others. I hope this curated menu can be a source of inspiration for your own Thanksgiving celebration. From our S+S family to yours, may your hearts be as full as your plates, and may this Thanksgiving be a time of joy, connection, and, of course, delicious indulgence. ;)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
With Love, Sazan & team
